2. Definitions

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.Cookies are small text files that are stored locally on a visitor’s device (e.g. PC, smartphone, tablet PC) while connecting to a website. They may contain various information about the used end device and how you use the website. 3.1. IP address and log files

a) Explanation and purpose of data processing:
We process the following information for every access to our website:

  • The IP address of your device (e.g. PC, tablet PC, or smartphone) and the request of your browser.
  • The transmitted data volume, the browser type and version, the display resolution, and the operation system used.

The IP address and the information regarding the request of your Internet browser is technically necessary for the use of our website. Without processing this data, it is impossible to access and to display web pages. The IP address will be anonymised by shortening or erasing it when the necessity for access or use of our website ends.The above mentioned data will be processed by us for the following purposes:

3.2. Use of cookies by our server

a) Explanation and purpose:Our websites use cookies set by our webserver. You will be shown a respective notice at least when you connect to our website for the first time.The cookies used by our server serve partly as basis for the analysis of the utilization of our website with the help of analysis tools (refer in this regard to clauses 3.3. to 3.8.), to detect several connected requests of one user and to attribute these to one session. In addition, some of our websites contain a so-called session cookie. It is needed for the functionality of our website. 3.3. Google Analytics (web analysis)

a) Explanation and purpose:This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are saved on your computer and enable us to analyze how you use our website. The information collected by the cookie contain e.g. browser type and version, operation system system used, display resolution, referrer URL (the website you visited before), anonymized IP-address of your end device, time of the request, length of your visit on specific sites, downloaded data, and more. The information generated by the cookie regarding your usage is submitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved. Google has submitted to the privacy shield framework to comply with EU data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States published by the US Department of Commerce.We use Google Analytics on our website by anonymizing your IP address (so-called IP-masking). 3.4. Google Tag Manager

We manage website tags (website code) with Google Tag Manager. It facilitates the administration and development of our website offering and shortens your website load time. The Google Tag Manager only implements website code. The Google Tag Manager does not set cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. The tool merely integrates website code stored by us through which, if necessary, data is collected. The tool only serves to facilitate the modulation of the respective code, but does not itself access the data processed by the code. 3.5. hotjar

For the purpose of designing and continuously optimizing our web pages according to our needs, based on Art. 6 Subsection 1 littoral f GDPR, we use the analysis service of Hotjar. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users' experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don't like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service by means of user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users' behavior and their devices (in particular the IP address of the device (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. For further details, please see Hotjar's Privacy Policy.

3.6. Contact forms

The data entered by you will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. For this purpose, it is necessary to enter a valid e-mail address and your name. This serves to assign the inquiry and to answer it afterwards. The specification of further data is optional.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based on a legitimate interest (Art 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
By providing the contact form, we would like to make it easy for you to contact us. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.If you contact us in order to request an offer, the data entered in the contact form will be processed for the purpose of implementing pre-contractual measures (Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit. b DSGVO).
